With over 13500 students who have graduated from Hawker, we now have alumni on every continent of the world!
Wanting to co-ordinate a re-union?
We are always looking for alumni speakers for classes and graduation.
Maybe you have a business and want to provide our students with employment, mentoring or work experience?
Perhaps you have an unusual or interesting work or life story? We would appreciate hearing about it!
Established in 1976 Hawker has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for students from year 11 through to year 12.
Just in-case you didn't know?
"Hawker College was formed as a result of the ACT developing its own education system in 1974. The new system meant that public high schools would only teach from grade 7 to 10, and that grades 11 and 12 would be completed at a separate college. Hawker was established and enrolled its first students in 1976. It is built upon the Kama Homestead. The word Kama was taken from an Indian love lyric of the same name meaning “A hope and expectation. “The original owners of the homestead were Mr and Mrs Dixon and settled as soldiers/settlers after World War 1."
Your experiences shared with us may positively change the life of one of our students!
