Outdoor and Environmental Education (T)

Outdoor & Environmental Education provides students with opportunities to understand environmental processes, issues and the role of the environment in affecting mental health and physical wellbeing. It allows students to safely participate in diverse locations in a range of activities including skiing, surfing, snorkelling and caving. Students can learn the difference between risk and challenge and develop social and leadership skills. Students will research  environmental topics and develop insights about sustainability, particularly in local contexts.

The study of Outdoor and Environmental Education provides pathways to further study in tertiary and vocational areas as well as providing a foundation for lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors and respect for the environment.
